I'm building an arcade machine for my game room primarily for classic games using this board: Classic 60-in-1 JAMMA Multicade Arcade Board CGA/VGA Output for Game Machine AC708
I hate the look of classic games on LCD screens, when I play these games, I want them to look like they did when I was playing them in the 80's.
I was looking at this monitor so that I would also have the flexibility to hook up a computer in the same cabinet for PC games MakVision 24.8" Tri-mode CGA/EGA/VGA video arcade CRT monitor
but I noticed that while this is a CRT, it's also flat, not curved like the classic monitors.
My question is, has anyone had experience with these flat screen CRTs. Being flat, do they take anything away from the original look of classic games (pac-man, etc.)

If it's still a CRT, it shouldn't take anything away from the classic look. You may have some issues with the bezel, if its a plastic one that works with a curved tube. Edited by user Friday, November 9, 2018 10:06:44 AM(UTC)
